Iris v. Arky pt. 2
I've decided to split witty text into separate updates from the webcomic itself. What do you think of that?

Iris v. Arky pt. 1
I am currently listening to a medley of Kitsune^2 songs and similar tracks, including "Take off and land" and "Rainbow Tylenol"
with one major difference from the original. They have been dubbed with ponies.
I'm really not sure why I've been obsessed with ponydubbed songs recently. But I have.
So, you were looking for something witty down here? And I haven't put down anything as such recently? GOOD! THERE'S PLENTY HERE TODAY.
Here is a poem I wrote for you:
Summer Air
There's that feeling in the air
of a summer morning fair
that makes me open up my windows
and step outside my dark lair.
I want to run and jump and play,
and do nothing the whole day.
just stand up in the sun
and let life bring what it may.
~Amos Kenneth Axiom, 2012-03-22
What an utter piece of poo! It's a good thing no one reads this blog anyway.
I have the insane urge to do everything, all the time. And that makes the only times that I am free the times when my friends are not.
Don't ever make that mistake. If there's anything you should learn from life, you are nothing without other people. I've made the mistake recently of thinking otherwise.
I need to spend more time in the presence of other humans. Preferably actually talking to them and doing good friend things that good friends are supposed to do.
I am a horrible friend,
-Amos

Oh hey actually I'm not done writing yet! I totally forgot that today (tomorrow, I'm actually writing this yesterday) is FRIDAY THE 13TH.
I love Friday the 13th. It is my favorite day.
Some people have bad luck on Friday the 13th, but I always seem to have good luck. Why, just 7 Friday the 13th's ago I found a 100 dollar bill in a parking lot!
Well, not quite in the parking lot, but stuck in a tree in the parking lot.
I was so thrilled. I immediately paraded around the supermarket I found the bill outside singing
"I found a Benjamin,
I found a Benjamin!"
And the story gets better! It wasn't long before the rightful owner of the bill heard me and exclaimed: "Hey, that's mine!"
"Really?" I asked. I'm smart. I was not nearly naive enough to believe that she was not simply constructing a ruse to obtain the bill herself.
"Yes!" She said emphatically, though looking at her shoes.
"Then where did you lose it?"
"Near the deli," she said. "I had it before, and I had to take out my purse to check my coupons, and afterwards it was missing."
Well, this was good enough for me. I knew that the bill must have stuck to someone's shoes, and been carried out of the store before a squirrel picked it up and stashed it in the tree thinking it was a nut.
I happily returned the bill to the proper owner with a smile on my face saying, "Well then, here you go!"
I may not have gained a 100 dollars that day, but I walked out with the satisfaction of knowing I had done the right thing.
Remember everyone, love makes the world go 'round!

Umm, cat?
I like having these done ahead of time! It means that I don't have to spend time cranking them out when I have other more important stuff to do.

Iris Gotchyer Tongue
Ahhhh!!! Sorry for the late update (not that anyone is reading), I forgot to set up an automatic update yesterday because I was working on two simultaneous projects that both had problems.
I'ma let you finish, engineers, but I just wanna say, physics is a pretty intense major too.
And a hello to any Fifth Circlers that may have actually decided to visit this pathetic excuse for a webcomic.

Who's gotchyer tongue? Dat cat?
No witty comments here today.
I am completely swamped for the evening.
Oh well would you look at that it's quite a bit past "evening," isn't it?
That's because I can schedule updates on blogger.

Dat cat!
I'm back!
Wait, I'm back? That can't be right. I thought that this was another one of those "creative ventures" I just started and left to rot somewhere in the depths of the internet.
Huh. That's pretty strange.
Well, I missed April Fools day, Valentines Day, Christmas, and Thanksgiving, which is too bad, because I had ideas for what I wanted to do on those day too. I haven't missed Easter, but now it's way too close to Easter for me to be able to wrap up this miniarc to do anything.
Oh well.
Enjoy, everyone! And give me feedback as always!
Don't forget to browse through the archives or use those handy "5 comics ago" buttons!

JMTE Special: How to Train Your Dargon
Recently I went to a restaurant that served one of the most exciting dishes I've ever had. A Dargon!
I was so thrilled upon completing consumption of my meal that the next day I sought to recreate the dish at home.
The first task before me was finding a dargon. Dargons are rare and mysterious creatures, so this was not an easy task. Dargons are sometimes found in dark caves, beneath rafters, or hiding between nose hairs. However, the easiest place to find a dargon is beneath the leaves of a Solanum melongena plant. This is where I found my dargon.
A sleeping dargon.
Now the first thing to do is to put your dargon to sleep. This usually involves dropping it from a height. My dargon was already asleep, so I proceeded to slice the dargon to prepare it for training.
How to slice your Dargon.
Then you prepare the Dargon marinade. I used about 6 generous tablespoons of lemon juice, 3 of olive oil, 2 sprigs of rosemary, and salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper to taste.
Dargon Marinade.
Then take some Aulminum foil, and lay your dargon slices out on the aulminum.
Optimal dargon slice placement.
Be sure to use a staggered arrangement for optimal chronosampling.
Then you can scoop the marinade onto the dargon slices. I used about 3 teaspoons on the bigger slices, and 2 on the smaller ones. Ration your marinade or make more to suit the size of your dargon.
Bastification of the lateral dargonsection.
You can let that soak for a bit, and then warp up the dargon completely in the aulminum.
How to warp your dargon.
Another instance of a warped dargon.
Be sure to label your dargon clearly so that no one accidentally inhales it!
Next you will need to pre-heat your chronostatic temporal flux capacitor for chronosampling.
A chronostatic temporal flux capacitor.
Make sure that the chronodominance indicator reads upwards of 300 before you place your warped dargon inside!
This flux capacitor is not chronodominant enough yet!
After your chronodominance reaches desired levels, chronosample your warped dargon for a temporoaxial equivalent of 0.00148809524 fortnights.
Then take out your dargon.
A warped trained dargon.
Your dargon is now trained! You can unwarp your dargon to check.
This is what a fully trained dargon looks like.
You can serve your dargon with tomatoes on a bed of lettuce.
And don't forget garnishes such as fish shaped crackers.
Enjoy!!!

Thundershowers

This post was later than I said it would be, for the record.
I... I'm sorry. I've missed two posts, studying for chem. I'll try to build up some extra comics so that I can still post during finals week, but I can't really make any promises.
I will get to flush out my characters much more over Christmas break. In case you haven't noticed, there is very little notion that my characters actually have anything they want to DO. There are things I want to do with Jake moving into town and learning, as well as Nina and Sara having to deal with his laziness. There are things I want to do with Joe and a talking cat who may or may not want to kill Arky. I have some ideas, but not enough time to implement them well UNTIL CHRISTMAS BREAK :(
I think my style has matured enough to do it.
Until then, wish me luck studying!

Mendel is my Idol
This post was late, but it's up now!.

I spent all my alloted comiccing time today making these posts easier to sift through, as you can see. Now there's no excuse for not looking through the archives since there is a handy next button above each post.
Well... Was this suitably Pearls-like?

Back in school 5

Oh that Jake, he's a regular Charlie Brown. Who is also surrounded by pyromaniacs.
Wait- who isn't a pyromaniac these days? Especially in the comic world! What's wrong with him?
Also plz go click on that vote button. Traffic would be useful, thus leading to monetization which will A) allow this webcomic to pay for the costs of space when I exceed memory limit, and B) get at least 50% donated to charity.
FUN STUFF. But only if I get popular, which requires you to vote.
ALSO, Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! That's a construction paper turkey that they are not quite putting together in the comic up there.
Brilliant drawing.
I left my computer unattended for about 5 minutes, and when I got back, my drawing canvas looked like this, courtesy of my brilliant sister:

(You can click on it and it should become larger)
I thought this was suitably humorous to be todays update!
Just Kidding!
My regular update will be along shortly. Never fear, my two loyal readers!
Back in school 4

Would you mind casting a vote every time you visit this site? It would be useful. Thanks to everyone who helped get me a WHOPPING 11 votes this month! WOW! All kidding aside, please tell people about this comic if you think they'll enjoy it.

Tomorrow's Post
Alright guys, I have the comic strip for Wednesday ready and waiting. But I don't even think my four loyal followers are reading. So how about this: as soon as I see four more votes for my comic on TWC, I'll post up the update. Yes I know it's horrible to hold your funny bone hostage like this, especially when I know I'm such a vital source of humor for you.
I have a horrible pun ready for Friday. By horrible I mean Stephen Pastis-caliber horrible. If you want to see it, help me out here.
Edit: I see those two votes! I'm going to add one to it that doesn't count. Just two more votes! Get someone you know to vote if they have nothing better to do.
Edit: YES enough votes. none of which are you guys who are following me as far as I can tell. But that's okay, I know you all are busy this time of year.

back in school 3

If you know someone who has NOTHING BETTER TO DO, and we all know someone like that, send them along here! and tell them to browse through the archives! Popularizing this comic will eventually make my goal of making money off this and donating the money to a fund of my choice a reality! EVENTUALLY! also go vote for me now.

Back in school 2

So yeah, in case you haven't noticed, I've taken (kind of) the suggestion of whoever it was that told me to advertise! At the very least, I am now registered on top web comics, and if you people vote for me I expect to surge up the ranks and go down in webcomic history forever (not really). But yeah. Please vote every time you find a comic enjoyable. You don't have to bother registering with Top Web Comics, just go through their bot filter. Or register with them if you want to, I guess it doesn't matter to me.
Also please email me suggestions, or reminders that I should be getting back to work at support@microsoft.com
P.S. That link actually goes to my actual email, so don't be like "wwwhahaaaht?!@!!?" and not click it if you feel like bugging me.

Arguments with Arky

Done with midterms! Time for rest, resetting, and figuring out what the heck went wrong with those midterms.

Train your mind dude

Sorry for posting such a weak one. I'm not done with midterms just yet, so I'm not advertising yet and I'm not actually going to spend that much time on this junk.
Bear with me, I'll try to entertain you guys!
Did you know you can email me at justificationmeanstheend@gmail.com?
